I guess I was keeping it open as kind of an indirect communication tool with some people - I guess it was important to me for them to know that while we weren't communicating directly I still wanted them to know what was going on and that I was doing ok.

These days I'm not so sure I care. Im fed up kow-towing to other people. I can relate to something Dean did awhile ago - erasing his whole phonebook and only saving the numbers of the people who replied to the final sms. Its tempting.
